About

The Rosalind Trio is a classical ensemble based in Philadelphia. Formed by pianist Anna Kislitsyna, violinist Alexandr Kislitsyn, and cellist Branson Yeast, the trio brings together their extensive solo and collaborative backgrounds to create a unique and compelling musical narrative.

Anna Kislitsyna, with her "heroic interpretive intelligence" and an international resume of accolades and performances, anchors the trio with her profound pianistic expressions. Her work has been recognized with awards at numerous international competitions. Anna's musical ventures and skills as a keyboardist infuse the Rosalind Trio with her broad commitment to repertoire, encompassing music from the Renaissance to modern premiers, not only piano but also historical instruments such as harpsichord and fortepiano.

Alexandr Kislitsyn, whose violin playing began in the rich cultural tradition of a musical family from Russia, has performed on stages worldwide since the age of six. His diverse repertoire and advanced ability of contemporary and classical improvisation broaden his command of the violin and have earned him numerous national and international awards. Alexandr's depth of expression and technical prowess bring a dynamic intensity to the trio's performances.

Branson Yeast, a prodigious cellist who studied at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Juilliard School, completes the trio. His cross-disciplinary projects and passion for contemporary music have led to collaborations with renowned groups and performances of the premieres of new works, including many chamber music and solo performances in halls such as Alice Tully and others. He also acts as Principal Cello of Opera Philadelphia and the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia.

The Rosalind Trio is a celebration of the shared musical ideals of three friends and their quest to convey the deeply rewarding pool of trio repertoire to audiences through performances and commissions. Anna and Alexandr are siblings with extensive performing experience, most recently in Trio Casals, an ensemble that garnered acclaim through their recordings and performances in venues such as Carnegie Hall. Branson and Alexandr perform over a hundred concerts a year together as part of the resident quartet in the Candlelight series of Philadelphia and other cities. Together, Rosalind Trio strives to present programs that engage, inspire, and transcend.
